Iturbe, currently on the books of Serie A giants Roma, has been a target for Brendan Rodgers for some time now, having been linked with a switch to Anfield for months.
A summer move has been mooted several times, and now his representative, Gustavo Mascardi, has revealed that he could be on his way to the Premier League.
“Iturbe’s injury was not well understood by Roma and that didn’t give him confidence,” Mascardi said.
“Will he leave? There are very good proposals from England for him.”
The highly-rated forward made a name for himself with Serie A rivals Verona during the 2013-14 season when he bagged an impressive eight goals in 33 matches, mostly from the wing or behind the main striker.
He was bought permanently by Hellas last summer, only to link up with Roma in a €22m deal.
However, he has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot this season, and may look to facilitate a switch.
