The north London side are unlikely to secure a top four finish and The Sun claims that chairman Daniel Levy is to change his transfer approach, with moves for players valued between £10m-£15m rather than the type of massive outlays made for the likes of Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado.

Emmanuel Adebayor, Younes Kaboul, Etienne Capoue and Paulinho all face the chop as Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino looks to bring in British talent.

One can well see why Pochettino would opt to take such an approach given the great form displayed by the likes of Harry Kane and Ryan Mason this term.

Kane has bagged 29 goals for Tottenham this term, leading to an England call-up, whilst midfield battler Mason has matured into a very capable performer.

Tottenham currently sit in sixth spot in the Premier League, some seven points off a top four finish, having won just three of their last seven fixtures.
