It might not have been pretty, but Arsenal earned a 1-0 victory at relegation-threatened Burnley to make it eight Premier League wins on the spin, a statistic which did not go unnoticed on social media.

The Gunners, who occupy second position in the table and are now just four points behind leaders Chelsea, were made to work for it at Turf Moor against a typically-resilient home side. Aaron Ramsey’s 12th minute goal proved to be decisive.

Arsene Wenger looks certain to secure Champions League qualification for an 18th consecutive campaign, and becomes the first Premier League boss to guide his team to eight successive top-flight wins this season.
