Arsenal transfer news.

The Gunners only signed the 29 year old from Newcastle United last summer but injuries and average form mean that the right-back is no longer Arsene Wenger’s first choice starter.

Debuchy has made just 10 Premier League starts this term and the form shown by young Spaniard Hector Bellerin doesn’t bode well for the player, and a move to the French capital may tempt the Arsenal man.

Prior to his move to St James’ Park in 2013 Debuchy spent a decade in Lille’s first team set-up, helping the club to a domestic double in 2010/11.

Wenger may well feel he can afford to cash-in on Debuchy, who cost the north London side £12m, as he can also call upon Calum Chambers to fill the right sided defensive berth if necessary.
