Marcelo Simonian, speaking to Tutto Mercato Web [via Le10Sport] has heavily praised Real coach Carlo Ancelotti who worked with Pastore in Ligue 1.

The agent was responding to the suggestion that the reigning European champions are keen to bring the Argentine playmaker to the Bernabeu.

“Real Madrid?” Simonian began,” I don’t know, but there is Ancelotti, a great coach. How can you not say good things about Carlo Ancelotti?

“Carlo is a maestro!”

Pastore moved to the Parc des Princes in 2011 after two years in Italian football with Palermo. Initially, he struggled to live up to his hefty transfer fee of €39.8 million, delivering a series of anonymous or ineffectual performances.

Steadily, he has grown in stature in Laurent Blanc’s side and has been a key figure this term as the Parisians seek to claim a remarkable quintet of trophies.

The 25-year-old has featured 27 times for PSG in Ligue 1 so far this season, scoring three goals and contributing seven assists.

His versatility may well be alluring to Real—he can play across the forward line or in a deeper, central berth—while Manchester United legend Eric Cantona recently revealed that he thought Pastore was the best player in the world.
