The Spanish giants, according to the Daily Star, are willing to listen to offers for the 27-year-old when the summer transfer window opens, but will demand a fee of £40m be met for his signature.

Real believe the France international is dispensable to the current senior Madrid squad and, the report claims, Los Blancos want to replace him with a younger striker.

Benzema has spent six seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu, but having never been prolific for the club, patience seems to have run out.

Real were beaten 2-1 in the first-leg in Turin – but a place in the final remains firmly in the balance.
