The dynamic, tenacious midfielder is one of the best in the world in his position, and has been a key figure for Laurent Blanc’s side this season.

The 28-year-old featured 10 times in the Champions League, and was an ever-present—scoring one and contributing two assists—as PSG advanced to the quarter-finals.

Similarly, he has been a key presence in Ligue 1, making 33 appearances, scoring twice and chipping in with a further two assists.

With only two games to play this term, Matuidi and his teammates sit atop the French classement, six points clear of second-placed Olympique Lyonnais.

The midfielder’s consistency and sustained excellence has prompted reported interest in his services, with the Metro just one source to have linked the former Saint-Etienne man with a switch to Old Trafford.

However, speaking about his future, as reported by Le 10 Sport, Matuidi has confirmed that he will be at the Parc des Princes next season and is not looking to move to United.

“Yes, I will be at Paris next season,” he began, “unless the club management decide the contrary.

“I am well here, appreciated, I love this city, I have grown up here…and then there’s the European Championships, I don’t want to go and do something stupid, and there are big objectives with PSG.”
