Arsenal are being linked with a £17.8m move to sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema this summer, with the French international available for a knock-down price.
Benzema may no longer be first choice at the Bernabeu for next season, and the Gunners are the latest club to show an interest in the player, formerly linked with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United.
According to the Metro, Arsenal are ready to make a bid for the unsettled 27-year-old and make him their latest big-name signing after recent deals for the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
With 22 goals last season, Benzema would unboubtedly be a big upgrade on the likes of Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck.
