Video: Arsenal & Man United transfer target filmed fighting with fan

Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain has been filmed fighting with a fan while on holiday in Ibiza.

The 27-year-old hitman was captured on camera in an altercation with a supporter who asked him for a signature.

According to El Mundo, the player and his international teammate Ezequiel Lavezzi were leaving the Pacha nightclub on the island in the early hours on Wednesday when they were accosted by an autograph-hunter.

When the Napoli forward refused the fan’s request for a signature, the supporter chided him with the comment “you cannot score penalties”—a reference to the forward’s recent missed spotkick at the Copa America.

Higuain found the net for Argentina twice during the South American showpiece, but was responsible for one missed spotkick in the Albiceleste’s shootout failure against Chile in the final.

The ex-Real Madrid hitman did not respond well to the mockery and—as captured in a video released by the Spanish source—appeared to lash out at the fan.

According to The Guardian, the player than shouted at the person with the camera: “Delete the video or I’ll rip off your head,” before being separated from his antagonist.

The forward, who managed 18 goals and seven assists in 37 league outings last term, has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks.

The Daily Star reported that the player is keen to leave Napoli, and according to the Express, both Arsenal and Manchester United are potentially interested in the forward.
