Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic is closing in on an exit from the club, following reports in Mirror Sport that he is set to undergo a medical ahead of a proposed season-long loan switch to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

It was revealed on Thursday night that the two clubs had begun talks over the 21-year-old and it appears that discussion are now at an advanced stage and Markovic is set to become the latest Premier League player to make the move to Turkey this summer.

Fenerbahce have already raided Manchester United for duo Robin van Persie and Nani earlier in the window and are now poised to seal the signature of the Reds youngster for the entire 2015-16 campaign.

Markovic has been left out of all three match-day squads for the Merseyside outfit so far this season and looks set to move to Turkey in a bid to receive regular first-team football and enhance his chances of being included in the Serbia national team squad if they qualify for next summer’s European Championships.
