Former Real Madrid man says Messi better than Ronaldo.
Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain has launched a scathing attack on his former Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo with the ultimate insult – saying Lionel Messi is the better player!
The Argentine international has played with both forwards, having been a team-mate of Ronaldo’s at club level and of Barcelona man Messi’s for their national side.
Both are regarded as the two finest players of their generation, but Higuain thinks there is only one clear winner, and layed into the Portuguese icon for his attitude.

“He has a lot of ego. If you don’t say he’s the best, he’s not your friend,” the 27-year-old is quoted in Sport. “Cristiano thinks he’s the best but he’s over-rated.
“I’ve shared a dresssing room with Messi and one is nothing like the other.”
