Pep Guardiola: Arsenal & Chelsea on alert as Bayern Munich boss has interest in London job

One of the reasons Arsenal and Chelsea have hardly even considered firing their embattled managers is the absence of a suitable replacement. But that could very well change this summer with Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola reportedly sending his resume and CV to London football clubs.

According to the Metro, the 19-time trophy winner with Bayern Munich and Barcelona wants his next managerial job to be in London should he fail to sign a new deal with the Bundesliga giants.

Arsenal reportedly have Guardiola on their short-list for potential replacements for Arsene Wenger, who currently has the club very high on the table and just beat Guardiola in the Champions League this past week.

Over at Stamford Bridge, Jose Mourinho has struggled mightily to match expectations this season with Chelsea sitting at 12th on the table and toiling in the Champions League. Whispers of his imminent departure have spread everywhere and the Special One has even dared owner Roman Abramovich to fire him.

The Metro noted, however, that Manchester City are believed to be the club “most keen on Guardiola’s services.”

In six years as a manager between Barcelona and Bayern Munich, Guardiola has won five league titles, three league cups, three national Super Cups, three UEFA Super Cups, three Club World Cups and two Champions League titles.
