Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, 23, believes the club do not need to add to the squad in January in order to maintain their push for the Premier League title, the London Evening Standard reports.

The French coach was criticised for failing to sign an outfield player this summer with goalkeeper Petr Cech the solitary arrival at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal want to bring former captain Patrick Vieira back to the club with a view to making the 39-year-old manager in the future, the Daily Star reports.

Vieira is currently in charge of Manchester City’s youth development.

The FA have fined Arsenal £60,000 for breaching football agent regulations in their purchase of defender Calum Chambers from Southampton, the Daily Mirror.

Full-back Chambers moved to the Emirates in July 2014, and it was revealed earlier this year that the Gunners had been charged.

Olivier Giroud has admitted his is not angry to have been bumped out of the starting XI by team-mate Theo Walcott, the Daily Express reports.

Giroud has been mainly used as an impact substitute by Arsene Wenger this season, and came off the bench to score in the victories against Watford and Bayern Munich.
