Manchester United are said to be putting together a £14million-per-season package in a bid to lure Barcelona superstar Neymar to the club, according to the Daily Express.
The Brazilian forward was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford recently, with talks between the two parties reportedly taking place over the summer (via Express).
Reports claimed that Neymar was considering the move, but in the end he remained a Varcelona player.
However, a new report in Spanish publication Don Balon claims that Louis van Gaal is determined to do everything he can to convince the Brazilian international to make the move to the Northwest.
The 23-year-old has been in phenomenal form for Barcelona this season, bagging 11 goals in 10 La Liga appearances so far (via Express).
He has filled in the gap left by Lionel Messi, who has been missing for the majority of the campaign through injury. It is thought that he is keen to step out of Messi’s shadow, and United will hope that giving him the opportunity to do that with them will prove to be a major selling point.
