Raheem Sterling’s former fans gave him a new chant to suggest that they are getting over his acrimonious exit during the summer as they watched their side romp to a 4-1 victory over Manchester City on Saturday.
Sterling, who was so often hailed as English football’s next big thing under Brendan Rodgers at Anfield, undoubtedly cut Liverpool fans deep when he slapped in his transfer request during the transfer window, and left them with a few bitter feelings despite what was a productive time of his career.
However, Saturday’s meeting between the two provided them with a golden opportunity to get over it slightly and they pounced on the chance to show him so by reminding him of the score.
