Chelsea could decide to sell England international winger Raheem Sterling at the end of the season.

Chelsea will need to comply with the financial regulations and they are planning to offload a number of first-team players in the summer. Raheem Sterling is reportedly on the list and it remains to be seen whether the Blues can find a suitable destination for him.

The 29-year-old has eight goals and nine assists across all competitions this season and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for most clubs. The England international is a proven performer in the Premier League and he is unlikely to have any shortage of suitors if he is made available for a reasonable price.

Sterling is not the only first-team player who could be sacrificed in the summer and the Blues could look to offload a host of other players to Saudi Arabia. A report from Daily Mail claims that Todd Boehly recently met up with Michael Emenalo who is the director of the Saudi Pro League.

Raheem Sterling should stay in Europe

Chelsea have previously managed to offload players like Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy and N’Golo Kante to Saudi Arabia. It will be interesting to see if Sterling is open to a move to the Saudi Pro League at the end of the season. The 29-year-old is still good enough to compete in the Premier league and he should look play in a major European league for now.

Although the 29-year-old has not been at his best this season, he remains a very effective player in the final third who can chip in with goals and assists consistently.
