Luis Suarez taunts opponent as Barcelona stars wait for Espanyol players outside dressing room

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez waited for his Espanyol opponents in the tunnel following their fiery Catalan derby in the Copa Del Rey this week after it was revealed that Papakouli Diop had been sent off during the game for telling Suarez: ‘I s*** on your w**** mother,’ the Daily Mail reports.

The sending off caused Espanyol to drop to nine men as the game carried a bad tempered edge, but Barca prevailed 4-1 in the first leg.

But after the two sides drew 0-0 in the league at the weekend, Barca’s players had complained about their opponents and their overly aggressive tactics, and after the game Surez, along with Gerard Pique and Javier Mascherano charged the Espanyol dressing room to confront their tormentors.

According to the referee’s report, the former Liverpool man waited in the tunnel for the Espanyol squad, shouting: “I’m waiting for you, come here, you’re a waste of space”.

[Referee Martinez] Munuera’s report confirmed that Pape Diop was dismissed for insulting Suarez’s mother, which led to the violent scenes in the tunnel after the game.

“At the end of the game, once in the tunnel, Barça’s No.9, Suarez, Luis, while the Espanyol players were coming up the stairs, waited for them and shouted at them on various occasions,” the report reads (via Cadena Cope).
