Jurgen Klopp tells journalists how to do their job when asked about Pato at Liverpool press conference

Charismatic Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp offered some advice to transfer-hungry journalists at Monday’s pre-Arsenal press conference.

Klopp, speaking in the buildup to Wednesday’s Premier League game with the Gunners at Anfield, politely suggested that reporters should stop writing about Alexandre Pato joining the Reds.

It was claimed on Sunday that Pato was on the verge of swapping Corinthians for Merseyside.

However, Klopp has told journos that they “don’t have to follow to Pato path any longer”.

From the outside, Pato looked like an excellent signing for Liverpool. He is quick, strong and would be able to get on board with Klopp’s pressing style.

However, if the Reds are going to add any players in January, it is likely that recruiting more defenders will be top of the agenda.

Kolo Toure and Mamadou Sakho are the only senior two centre-backs who are expected to be fit to face Arsenal.
