European giants receive transfer blow in pursuit of Serie A star

The agent of AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca has insisted that his client is happy at the San Siro and has refused to discuss the summer transfer window.

Bayern Munich are the latest side to be linked with the Colombian international, although the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United have also been paired with an interest previously.

However, with the Rossoneri booking their spot in the Coppa Italia final and as they continue to chase a top-three finish to qualify for the Champions League next season, it doesn’t appear as though a move away from Milan is top of the agenda for the dangerous striker.

“It’s nice that so many clubs in Europe are following him,” the Colombian’s agent Sergio Barila told MilanNews, as noted by Football Italia.

“It’s normal when these teams are looking for a great striker for next season. Bacca is one of the best strikers in the world, but he has a contract with Milan. He’s very happy with the Rossoneri, he’s concentrated on the Coppa Italia final and the last few games of the season.

“With the Coppa final he has the chance to win a trophy and that makes him happy. He also wants to lead the team into Europe next season.

“Does Ancelotti want him? I don’t want to create controversy, I’ll just say that many teams like Bacca without mentioning one in particular because I don’t want to start a controversy.”

Bacca has scored 15 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions in his first season in Italy, and it follows up a highly successful spell with Sevilla previously where he established his reputation as being one of the most prolific forwards in Europe.
