Perhaps Leroy Sane won’t be joining Ilkay Gundogan at Manchester City as soon as it was made to sound.
According to Goal via Bild, Schalke 04 sporting director Christian Heidel stated that the recent reports of Sane’s transfer to Manchester City being imminent are false – and that he is not even being moved at all apparently.
“The story is incorrect, nothing has changed with Leroy Sane,” Heidel said.
Sane was tipped for a £40 million move to Manchester City after a breakout season with Schalke.
The 20-year-old winger set career highs in goals scored and earned his first caps for Germany’s senior squad this past year.
