Barcelona striker Neymar is coming off a career-year at Camp Nou and has attracted plenty of offers from high-spending clubs. With Neymar’s currentl deal set to expire in 2018, Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made an offer for the Brazilian superstar – an offer the La Liga champions have no intention of letting Neymar accept.

At a news conference on Wednesday [per the Daily Mirror], Barcelona financial vice-president Susana Monje stated that the team does not even contemplate the idea of losing the 24-year-old Neymar to any other club.

“Neymar’s renewal is a sporting issue,” Monje said.

“We have not studied the impact of hypothetically losing Neymar. We don’t contemplate it.”

Per the source, PSG have offered to double Neymar’s current wages with a £23 million-a-year deal.

PSG have become a modern rival of Barca’s in recent years after playing them six times in the past three seasons. It is a rivalry that the La Liga giants are dominating, having lost just once and beat the Parisians on three occasions this century.

Neymar skipped the Copa America Centenario tournament but is expected to return to football for Brazil in their 2016 Olympics campaign.

He was a finalist for the 2015 FIFA Ballon d’Or, ultimately losing to teammate Lionel Messi.
