Eden Hazard urges Chelsea to improve defensively ahead of Liverpool clash

Chelsea star midfielder Eden Hazard has urged Chelsea to improve defensively ahead of this weeks clash with Liverpool in the Premier League according to the Mirror.

The Blues hose Jurgen Klopp’s side at Stamford Bridge on Friday night as they look to keep their unbeaten run intact.

“We played some good stuff. We scored goals. But also conceded them,” Hazard was quoted as saying by the Mirror.

“Apart from before the international break [in their 3-0 win over Burnley], we have conceded goals.”

“We have always conceded one or two goals, which is a shame.

“It’s up to us to work harder defensively, to be more solid, and to score more goals to put on more of a show and win matches.”

Liverpool have scored an 14 goals in their opening five games of the season, including four last weekend as they defeated champions Leicester.

Chelsea were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw with Swansea City on Sunday but remain second in the league.

Antonio Conte’s side have conceded in all but one match so far. Chelsea will also be without captain John Terry on Friday due to an ankle injury.

Hazard has been in impressive form since the start of the season, scoring two goals in four Premier League games. The Blues can move back into first place if they can record a win over Liverpool on Friday evening.
