Liverpool team news: Sakho future in doubt as Jurgen Klopp describes 3am Snapchat rant as “not positive”

Mamadou Sakho’s Liverpool future has been cast in doubt following his 3am Snapchat rant, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The France international decided to vent his frustrations at being left out of the squad on Snapchat.

“Now it’s three weeks I am fit to play games. They don’t want me to play with segonde (segondo, U23s) team lol,” Sakho was quoted as saying by the Echo.

“Still working hard like Scouse Soldier! Still not talking cos I want to speak on the pitch….I will speak soon for the people who support me and don’t understand the situation.”

However, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was not impressed upon hearing about his defenders actions on social media.

“The thing is I was kind of confronted with this, somebody told me this morning there was something I should know about,” Klopp was quoted as saying by the Echo.

Actually on a match day I’m really in a completely wrong mood to think about things like this.

“I know something was on the thing that neither of us use (Snapchat).

“But it’s not the right moment to speak about it. Most of the times in life in makes sense to think about something and then it’s more likely that you give the right answer.

“It’s not positive I would say.

“I will address the situation when I think it’s the right moment. I haven’t decided when that is yet. But it’s not Christmas.”

Sakho probably did not do his chances of winning over the Reds manager Klopp and making his way back into the team any favours with his latest Snapchat outburst.

The 26-year-old was expected to leave over the summer after falling out with Klopp over the per-season but ended up staying at the club.

Sakho’s problems at Liverpool started following a doping suspension which was subsequently rescinded. The former Lyon man was sent home from the pre-season camp after turning up late for the flight, missing a team meeting and failing to take part in a training session.

Liverpool take on a struggling Swansea City next weekend in the Premier League. Following his latest stunt, it is unlikely that we will see Sakho feature in the near future.
