Cesc Fabregas has posted a photo of himself alongside some of his Chelsea teammates on Instagram, with the seven-man group being snubbed by their international coaches this week.
As reported by The Sun, the total worth of the talent on show in the image below amounts to £132m, with the group made up by Fabregas, Marcos Alonso, Pedro, Cesar Azpilicueta, Ola Aina, Nemanja Matic and David Luiz.
There is no time to rest for the seven Chelsea stars though, as they have returned to training ahead of the club’s next game against Leicester City on October 15.
Antonio Conte’s men currently sit in seventh place in the Premier League table with 13 points from their seven games thus far, and so the Italian tactician will welcome the opportunity to continue to work with a core group of experienced stars during the break.
Nevertheless, it will still be a disappointment to the players in question to not be selected for the World Cup qualifiers this week, although with regards to the Spanish quartet, it’s always going to be difficult to get a place in the La Roja squad given the amount of quality at Julen Lopetegui’s disposal.
Having predominantly been used sparingly as a substitute so far this season though, Fabregas’ more immediate concern will be playing regular football for his club.
