Arsenal have taken to social media to hail their summer signing Granit Xhaka, after the combative midfielder captained his nation last night.
Xhaka was selected as Switzerland’s captain during their 2-1 win over Andorra.
The 24-year-old made the move to Arsenal from Borussia Monchengladbach for £30 million over the summer transfer window, according to SkySports.
Arsenal shared a photo of Xhaka on their official Instagram page along with the caption, “Granit Xhaka captained Switzerland to victory last night.”
The Gunners take on Swansea City this weekend in the Premier League. Arsenal will be looking to increase their winning run to six games.
