Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney was given a rare start going into the Europa League clash against Fenerbahce at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium.
Rooney did not make the most of his rare opportunity in the starting line-up in the first half and squandered arguably United’s biggest chance of the opening 45 minutes after a poor first touch.
The England international was played in on goal by Martial and would have been in a clear one-on-on with the goalkeeper had he controlled the ball.
Martial's vision is seriously slept on. Typical Rooney being a donkey as per.https://t.co/jDVSZdnYos

Rooney is still United captain but he has struggled for playing time after a poor run of form.
United went into the half-time break losing 1-0 against Fenerbahce following an overhead kick from Moussa Sow.
