Manchester United were on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline last night in the Europa League, leaving them in third place in Group C.
While no United player played well on the night, full-back Luke Shaw had a torrid time against the former Sunderland man Jeremain Lens.
The match up between Shaw and Lens proved to be one of the defining duals over the course of the clash. The Netherlands international was a constant threat down the wing and completed a total of six successful dribbles – more than the entire United team combined.
Lens managed to find a way past Shaw on more than occasion but one piece of skill really stood out. The 28-year-old turned Shaw inside out resulting in the left-back almost falling over.
As expected, fans on Twitter didn’t miss the opportunity to hammer the England international following the event.

The incident resulted in a social media storm with the United left-back being mocked. Lens was described by many twitter users as making Shaw ‘skate’.
