Everton signed Oumar Niasse amid high hopes last season on a £13.5 million deal from Lokomotiv Moscow but he never quite settled in and was relegated to the reserves over the summer.
Niasse has been trying to fight his way back into the first team and his goal for the reserve side against Southampton on Monday may have caught the attention of head coach Ronaldo Koeman.
