Possibly one of football’s worst kept secrets was finally revealed earlier today when Chelsea announced Antonio Conte’s departure from the club after two seasons in charge.
The former Italy manager took charge in 2016 and led the Blues to the Premier League title in his first season winning 30 games and was a popular figure with some fans and football pundits with his fresh tactics and touchline passion.

However, the 48-year-old cut a frustrated figure this season, both on and off the pitch, as his side missed out on Champions League qualification.
Despite their poor showings in the league, they still ended the season with silverware when they defeated former manager Jose Mourinho’s side Manchester United in the FA Cup final.
Some Blues fans were clearly disappointed at the apparent lack of class from the club after they released a 52-word statement – which did not appear to thank the Italian for his efforts.
As per the talkSPORT, Maurizio Sarri will be unveiled as Conte’s successor shortly and was flying into London to finalise a deal.
But some fans were still clearly unhappy at Conte’s treatment by the club as his tenure came to an end at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea announce Conte is sacked with only 52 words on their website and they can’t even say thank you. No class whatsoever.

2 years in charge. X1 Premier League title. X1 FA Cup. A higher win percentage ratio then ANY OTHER Chelsea manager with over 100 games. And this is the statement regarding his departure. No class. https://t.co/R64gf1mpkB

What a shit statement. No class! Plastic club. I hope Roman takes all his money out and leaves @ChelseaFC to slip down the leagues.
