Sooner or later some of Man City’s elder statesmen will move on, and Bernardo Silva has already confirmed his intentions live on Portuguese TV.
The 29-year-old hasn’t put a time limit on when he will move but speaking on the SIC Especial show, he did say that moving back to Benfica was his intention.
“I’m sure I’ll return to Benfica. It’s a career and life goal,” he said.
City fans will be hoping it’s a good few years yet before he decides to head back to the Portuguese league, given how influential he remains for Pep Guardiola’s brilliant side.
