Former Arsenal man’s tackle didn’t get much attention last time around due to Tasmanian devil Gennaro Gattuso’s assault on Joe Jordan, for the record it seem that the Ac Milan man feels his tackle was a fair one.

Can anyone, and I am including Mr. Flamini himself, explain to me how this was not a red card? This challenge is so poor that even mad man Gennaro “Tasmanian Devil” Gattuso winced. Expect the former Arsenal man to get some retribution at White Hart Lane in the return leg.

Gianluigi Buffon, Christian Chivu, Alessandro Nesta, Walter Samuel, Maicon, Mathieu Flamini, Andrea Pirlo, Daniele De Rossi, Samuel Eto’o, Ronaldinho, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. So clearly the surprise inclusion is former Arsenal man Flamini. However his huge wages probably have more than a lot to do with the fact he sneaked out of the Emirates for nothing. Teutonic bruisers Bayern Munich are looking to strengthen their squad this summer following their return to success this season. Flamini still hasn’t signed on the dotted line for the North Londoners, a fact that has alerted all the giants of the continental game: Juventus, Ac Milan, and now Bayern Munich.
Bayern’s sporting director Uli Hoeness, with a very big nod and a wink aimed at the Emirates, said:
“Once again, we’re ready to bring in a high quality player. You don’t always need to spend millions. Sometimes players come on free transfers.”
Is there really a chance that Flamini could do the dirty on Arsenal and leave on a free or is this just a ploy to get Arsenal to offer him a better contract?

Arsenal’s influential French midfielder Mathieu Flamini could be out for the latest in a long line of ultra important games for the North London club. Flamini limped out of Arsenal’s Anfield jamboree and now he is a serious doubt for the Man Utd Premier League punchup at Old Trafford.
Without Flamini, Arsenal will have to rely on Brazilian midfielder Gilberto, who just so happened to offer up a tailor made quote for this slightly short, and very craptastic piece. Gilberto said:
“We cannot lose our belief now – let’s not forget we played a very good game at Anfield.
“Sometimes you learn more through the pain of defeat, although nobody likes losing the chance of making a Champions League final.
“And if there is a lesson, it must be that we have to concentrate to the very end.”
And in an utterly random and off piste point, have you ever realized how all Brazilian’s have cool names, but remove the vowel from their name and they turn into a motley crew of wierdo’s: Gilbert, Ronald, Dung, Edmund, the list goes on and on.
