The Sun reckons that Arsenal supremo Arsene Wenger has had a change of heart over Theo Walcott and allowing him to go off on loan.
Arsene had his change of mind after the Spurs game when it dawned on him that he has a puddle of talent at Arsenal rather than an ocean. Arsene, when asked if he was going to loan out any of his young starlets, replied:
“No, because we are very short.
“We have 17 players at the moment and you could see the players who were on the bench at Tottenham should not have been on the bench there.”
And Blackburn boss Mark Hughes was rebuffed in his attempts to bag Walcott on loan:
“We’re always looking to bring in good players and if we’re told there are situations where we can get them then we’re interested.
“That’s what it was with Walcott — but we were told it’s unlikely he’d be going out of his club.”
