Grant hails Frank Lampard after FA Cup win

Chelsea manager Avram Grant was massively impressed with his star midfielder Frank Lampard’s display against minnows Huddersfield in the fifth round of the FA Cup. Lampard scored a brace against them and the two goals now takes his goals tally to 101 for the club.

Grant says that he wants the England international to score 100 more goals for the London club and is confident that Lampard will stay at Stamford Bridge even though rumours of his imminent departure to FC Barcelona are rife.

Grant says:

I don’t think there are many midfield players who score so many goals but what is important is he not only knows how to score goals, he knows how to give assists, he’s good at defending and he is a very good player. Frank deserves to score 100 goals. Maybe he will score 200, I don’t know. Iwant him in the club and I think he will stay at Chelsea. I don’t see any other scenario.

All the Chelsea fans surely echo Grant’s words. After all, Lampard has been one of the best players for the club in recent years.
