Rafa and Juande fight it out for a midfielder who is surely over priced and in so many ways not worth the bother…
Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Bentley reportedly wants to move to London and as such Tottenham Hotspur are said to be the ‘strong favourites’ for his signature over Liverpool and Manchester City.
The England winger’s future has been under fierce speculation after manager Mark Hughes left Rovers to take over at City. However, the reported asking price for the 23-year-old former Arsenal man seems to be the bone of contention, as the Daily Mail claims that Spurs are not prepared to pay the £15million asking price. As all manner of clubs vie for his signature I have to ask myself, why? As many readers have pointed out in previous posts about this primadona, Bentley has had one good season and has on many occasions come across as a player with a questionable attitude. Does anyone want the Blackburn Rovers ‘star’, surely even Rovers fans must be thinking that selling him might be the best option!
