Juventus and Inter Milan preparing summer bids for Gunners target.
Arsenal are set to go head-to-head with the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus for the signing of Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez according to talkSport.
The Gunners have been strongly linked with the Chilean midfielder who has struggled to make an impact at the Nou Camp since joining the club from Udinese in 2011.
A number of top Italian sides attempted to seal the player’s signature before the player finally decided to join the Catalan giants.
But Sanchez has struggled to hold down a first-team spot at Barcelona despite the La Liga side forking out over £24 million on bringing the player to the club.
Reports in Spain are suggesting that the player’s days in Barcelona are numbered and his departure is likely to be hastened should the club secure the signing of Brazilian wonderkid Neymar this summer.
Irrespective of Neymar’s arrival, it is thought that Sanchez will leave Barcelona by the summer of 2014 at the latest.
Juventus and Inter Milan are thought to be leading the chase for Sanchez as the player still carries a high reputation in Italy following his years spent at Udinese.
But Arsenal are likely to provide strong competition for his signature with the club now ready to invest in player recruitment after paying off the loan for the Emirates Stadium.
