Italian giants Inter Milan are said to be considering a summer swoop for Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben, TalkSport reports.
The Dutch international has fallen out of favour in Germany this season, making just 11 league appearances in a title campaign that is almost certain to be a foregone conclusion for the Bavarian club.
A summer exit could be likely and Inter look set to take advantage as they look to rebuild during the close season. Turkish club Galatasaray have also been reported to be interested, continuing their recent influx of high profile signings.
However, incoming Bayern boss Pep Guardiola is said to be a fan of the 29-year-old and could offer him a lifeline at the club.
Bayern value the player at €15 million and Inter will test their resolve by matching that price. Known as somewhat of a ‘club hopper,’ the player wouldn’t surprise anybody if he did decide to call time on the Bundesliga.
€15 million could represent a sound piece of business for Bayern as the player has suffered his fair share of injuries over recent seasons and at 29, that situation is not likely to improve.
Robben joined Bayern from Real Madrid in 2009 for a fee of €25 million. He’s since gone on to make 110 appearances in Germany, scoring 62 goals.
