Italian club keen to hold on to star striker.
Fiorentina are hoping to put off potential suitors for their striker Stevan Jovetic according to talkSport.
The Italian side have warned any clubs thinking of making a bid for the player that they will have to part with at least £30 million to secure the player’s signature.
Jovetic has been in impressive form for the Italian giants this season. The Montenegrin forward has hit the back of net twelve times in 24 games in Serie A and has fired his team into fourth place.
Arsenal were thought to be among the front runners for the player’s signature. The club are keen to bring in attacking reinforcements after disappointing debut seasons for Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud.
Jovetic admitted he could be tempted by a move to Arsenal but a number of the player’s Fiorentina team mates, including Luca Toni and Stefan Savic, have since urged the player to join a bigger club than Arsenal.
The Gunners are also thought to be unlikely to spend such a large amount on a player who is unproven in the Premier League.
Manchester City may be a more likely destination but they are likely to face stiff competition from Serie A leaders Juventus who are thought to be preparing a player plus cash bid.
