Respected source claims Blues have agree terms with German.

According to the above source, a football journalist who specialises in the Bundesliga, Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Bayer Leverkusen forward Andre Schurrle.

The winger, who can also play as a central striker or in the hole, was the subject of a rejected bid from the Blues in the summer, while Arsenal are also said to have scouted the 22-year-old.

The Blues, who have reportedly tabled an £18m bid, must now agree a fee with Leverkusen to land the powerful attacker in the summer.

Schurrle has been on fine form for the Bundesliga outfit this term, netting 11 times in 34 appearances, mainly from a wide left role.

The former Mainz star, who has 22 caps for his country, will face competition from the likes of Eden Hazard, Victor Moses and Juan Mata for places under a new manager at Stamford Bridge next season.

One man he is unlikely to be competing with next term, however, is Kevin de Bruyne with the same source claiming that the Belgian winger could be set to go the other way.
