German forward reportedly finalising terms on a move to Stamford Bridge.
Bayer Leverkusen’s Andre Schurrle is closing in on a move to Chelsea, according to German source Die Weld.
The German international has been linked with the Blues for a number of weeks and it appears the Stamford Bridge side are close to sealing a deal for the powerful forward.
Schurrle has reportedly agreed terms on a five-year deal with Chelsea after the two sides completed talks over the last few days.
The transfer is not yet ready to be finalised however as the two clubs are still thrashing out the finer terms of the transfer fee.
Chelsea are reportedly keen for some of the transfer fee to be paid after it has been activated by certain performance clauses.
The two clubs may try to reach a middle ground by using Belgian youngster Kevin de Bruyne as a makeweight in the deal.
The Belgian wide-man has been in fine form for Werder Bremen this season where he has been playing on loan but Chelsea are keen for the player to test himself at a higher level next term.
Leverkusen are reportedly interested in a temporary deal for de Bruyne and so a temporary switch could be something that suits all parties and seals the deal for Schurrle.
