Mercurial Frenchman will play in the hole behind our striker and deserves the spot for helping to get Sir Alex Ferguson’s Man United side on course. The superbly talented attacker was perhaps the catalyst for success that came after Ferguson’s fairly shaky first few years in charge of the club.
Wayne Rooney
There has been a lot of speculation about the 27 year old’s Man United future but he finds his spot in our Fergie ‘Dream Team’ with ease. Though Rooney has more recently been used in a more withdrawn role we have elected to play the former Everton man in a striking role and given that he is the club’s fourth highest goal-scorer of all time this seems the right position to play the England man in.
