PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has stated that now retired England midfielder David Beckham would be welcome back at the club anytime, Sky Sports reports.

The 38-year-old has finally decided to hang up his boots and retire from the game and was given a warm send off in his final games this weekend against Brest. He set up a goal for Blaise Matuidi in the 3-1 win and was given a standing ovation when he was substituted with just ten minutes to go.

And Al-Khelaifi admitted amidst the emotional scenes that the former Manchester United and Real Madrid man would be welcome back at the club in the future.

“It was an emotional moment for me,” Al-Khelaifi said.

“I love David. He was great for this football club and has had a great career. I am very proud of David and wish him all the best in his life.”

“This will have been the last match that he plays for us. For a player like David to finish his career at PSG makes us very proud. We’re going to miss him, it is very sad that he is leaving.”

“The door is very open to him at PSG. There are a lot of things that he could do here. We are going to discuss it with him, and he can make his choice.”
