The Bayer Leverkusen general manager has said that Schurrle’s move to Chelsea is not yet done despite reports.
The transfer of German star Andre Schurrle is not yet completed according Rudi Voller.
The Bayer Leverkusen General Manager has said that despite a meeting with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, a deal is not yet finalised.
Sky Sports reports that speculation had mounted in Germany that the deal had been concluded following the meeting better the two.
But Voller has come out and said that their is no deal done yet.
Voller said, “There is interest in the services of Andre Schurrle from Chelsea FC, but we will have to keep on waiting the progress of those next few days.”
Chelsea have been chasing the services of Schurrle for the last few months, and it is thought that the German has agreed personal terms with the club and is just waiting for a transfer fee to be agreed.
One possible stumbling block could be that Kevin De Bruyne, the player who would be swapped as part of the deal for Schurrle, is reluctant to make the move to Leverkusen, preferring instead to move to German rivals Bourssia Dortmund.
It could mean that the transfer fee will need to be re-negotiated for Schurrle to finally make the move from Leverkusen to Chelsea.
