Ian Holloway plotting ambitious move for Liverpool target.
Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway is plotting an ambitious move to bring Blackpool winger Tom Ince to the club this summer, according to the Sun.
The 21-year-old has been in superb form in the Championship this season, and was initially brought to the club by Holloway when he was in charge there in 2011.
However, the Eagles boss will have a fight on his hands to land him this summer, as the England Under-21 international has attracted a lot of interest from other Premier League sides, most notably Liverpool and Tottenham.
Ince started his career as a youngster at Anfield, and was let go after seemingly not making the grade at the club, though current Reds boss Brendan Rodgers rates him highly and hopes to persuade him to return.
The skillful attacker is now managed at Blackpool by his father Paul, who hopes to be able to persuade him to stay in the Championship for at least one more season, though he accepts that his son has the talent to play in the top flight and will do so at some point in his career.
Palace’s opening offer of £4million is unlikely to be enough to force Blackpool’s hand, but it would be a major boost to the survival hopes of the newly-promoted Premier League side if they could land one of English football’s brightest prospects.
