Premier League new boys hope to keep hold of defensive ace.
Crystal Palace full back Jonathan Parr is happy to stay at the club and help the Premier League new boys survive their first campaign back in the top flight, according to his agent.
Sky Sports had claimed that he was on the radars of West Bromwich Albion, Norwich and Southampton, but Palace are reportedly eager to keep hold of the Norwegian international who has become a fans favourite down at Selhurst Park.
He had missed out on the club’s promotion with an ankle injury and despite the interest from larger clubs, his agent, Jim Solbakken has confirmed that Parr is happy to remain with the Eagles.
“We have had small discussions over the last half a year or year and it is most likely we will sit down within a couple of months and see where things go,” Solbakken told the South London Press. “There is no stress to the situation. Jonathan likes Crystal Palace a lot.
“There have been enquiries – not only from England but elsewhere in Europe – but he has found himself a home at Palace. There has been nothing more than interest from other clubs. I’ve not had serious discussions with anybody because of his commitment to Palace.
“We’ll see what happens in the rest of the transfer window but there is no panic from any side. We’ll just take it easy.”
