The midfielder is one of the most highly-rated young players in Brazil and has been impressive during his international career and his club career with Corinthians. His impressive career in Brazil has led to speculation that he maybe following many Brazilians to Europe very soon. The midfielder has been linked with a move to one of Europe’s top clubs for the past few summers, with Inter Milan interested in the 24 year old last summer. Now it appears that Paulinho could be bound to the Premier League, with Tottenham leading the race for the midfielder. Spurs have reportedly agreed a £17 million fee with Corinthians and will be discussing a move with Paulinho when the midfielder finishes playing for Brazil in the Confederations Cup. While Spurs are reportedly close to signing Paulinho, they will be worried by the news that Chelsea are reportedly interested in making a move for the midfielder. Chelsea succeeded in making a last ditch attempt to sign Oscar last summer, right under the noses of QPR and they will be looking to do the same this summer to Spurs.
