Turkish giants to rival English sides for full back.
Galatasaray have emerges as favourites to land highly rated Lille full back Lucas Digne this summer, according to talkSPORT.
A number of clubs including Paris Saint Germain, Arsenal and Liverpool had all thought to be monitoring the 19-year-old’s situation despite Lille remaining defiant over where his future may lie.
Newly promoted moneybags Monaco were also set to test the northern side’s resolve with a big money bid over the coming weeks, however, it is now the Turkish giants who look the favourites to take him away from the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
Last month Galatasaray brought Digne’s former teammate Aurelien Chedjou to Istanbul and have now been understood to be willing to pay around £13 million for the French under-20 international’s signature.
Galatasaray may have to act fast, though, as their apparent interest could prompt other sides like Liverpool to jump back in to action and rival them for his services.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has been a long time admirer of Digne who made his debut for Les Dogues in 2011. He has since gone on to make 58 appearances for the club (40 of which came last season,) scoring three goals in the process.
