Old Trafford side ready to make final attempt to sign Barcelona star.
Manchester United are preparing to make one final offer for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas according to The Mail On Sunday.
The Old Trafford club have been linked with the Spanish star for a number of weeks recently but the Catalan giants have insisted that he is not for sale.
It has been suggested that Fabregas could be tempted to leave the Nou Camp as he looks to secure first team football.
He has struggled to replicate his form for Arsenal since joining the club two years ago and has often found himself sitting on the bench.
His chances of first team football are thought to have diminished further this summer following the arrival of Brazilian wonderkid Neymar.
It is understood that Fabregas is keen to secure first team football in order to book his place in the Spain starting eleven ahead of next summer’s World Cup finals tournament in Brazil.
Until now, Barcelona have rejected every offer United have made for the player, but club officials feel optimistic that they still have a chance of securing a deal.
They are ready to make one final offer of £36 million, however, sources close to Fabregas have suggested the player will stay at the club should new manager Gerardo Martino provide him with assurances about his role in the team.
