Keepmoat Stadium sign young ‘singer’.
Championship side Doncaster Rovers have officially signed One Direction star Louis Tomlinson on a non-contract player for the 2013/14 season.
In a move that may well leave many fans of the club in dismay it appears that the 21 year old has fulfilled a childhood ambition to sign for the Keepmoat Stadium side, the youngster stating of the deal;
“This has always been a childhood dream for me”,” he told the club’s official website.
“I feel very honoured to have been asked to sign for Rovers and being able to help both the club and the amazing charity Bluebell Wood is what it’s all about.”
Tomlinson will wear the number 28 shirt and no doubt the move will help raise the profile of the club and Doncaster Rovers hope Tomlinson will make an appearance for the club in the hope of raising money for the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
One would imagine that any contract signed by Tomlinson will not in any way involve the One Direction star actually taking part in any official Championship fixtures, right?
