Suarez is determined to leave Liverpool this summer, with Arsenal hoping to sign the striker.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes that Luis Suarez is worth just as much as Gareth Bale and will only sell the striker if a huge bid comes in for him, Goal.com reports.
Suarez has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield this summer, with Arsenal thought to be interested in signing the Uruguayan striker.
However, Rodgers doesn’t want to sell Suarez, despite the strikers desire to leave Anfield and will only consider selling the Uruguayan if a huge bid comes in for him, similar to the one that Spurs are set to get if they sell Gareth Bale.
“Every single player in the world has a value, but it’s not something we’re thinking about. We’re in no hurry to sell Luis or any other player,” he told reporters.
“You only need to look at the market, and when you compare £40,000,001 and then Gareth Bale with nine figures”.
“Bale and Suarez were arguably the two best players in the Premier League last year, so you can’t say Bale is valued at over 100 per cent more”.
“We as a club are very strong in our belief in what we’re doing and no one will be moving out of here in a hurry.”
Arsenal have already had two bids turned down for Suarez and manager Arsene Wenger is believed to be reluctant to pay more than £40 million for one player.
However, Suarez is interested in a move to Arsenal and reports have suggested that he considering handing in a transfer request to force through a move to the Emirates.
