Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway has said that he hopes to add another six new faces to his squad as he prepares for the side’s return to the Premier League next weekend, Sky Sports.
Ahead of their return to the top flight, the Eagles have already wrapped up five summer deals – for Dwight Gayle, Jerome Thomas, Stephen Dobbie, Elliot Grandin and Jose Campana.
However, Holloway understands that more new players will be needed if the club are to survive the season as strength in depth is vital in the top flight of English football.
He has until September 2nd to bring in more new faces and he has insisted that everyone involved with the club is working hard to make sure that the necessary additions are made.
Holloway told the club’s official website: “I need to put pressure on everybody, in almost every position.
“I probably need to get six signings to be able to do that realistically, so me and the chairman are working our socks off.”
Palace, who came up via the playoffs last season, will kick off their Premier League campaign against Tottenham Hotspur next Sunday at Selhurst Park.
